Inspired by nature, KC-based artist, Lee Quaife merges what she sees and feels into new compositions and fields of color. These simplified shapes, while beacons of what was, no longer have the same context. They become imperfect, organic forms of their own. The constraints of reality are stripped away. Totally raw and endlessly vulnerable; perhaps encouraging the same out of each of us.

Working in the intersection of art and design, Lee Quaife explores the relationship between shape and color in her oil paintings and digital work. Lee received her BFA in Graphic Design at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013. Since 2014, she has worked at Beveridge Seay, a brand and identity consultancy.

Lee lives in Kansas City, Missouri with her husband, Scott and their pup, Grace.
